Cultural Services
Qualified cultural resources professionals conduct the full range of cultural resources studies. The team conducts Phase I and Phase II field investigations, designs and implements Phase III mitigation studies, provides construction management services for archaeology and paleontology, and prepares and peer reviews cultural resources technical studies and reports. The lead cultural resources professional is a Registered Professional Archaeologist who meets the Secretary of Interior's standards for historic preservation programs for archaeology, is an Orange and Riverside County certified archaeologist, and is listed as a Principal Investigator, for the Southern California Bureau of Land Management. The Cultural Resources department has expertise in compliance with NEPA, CEQA, the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), the Archaeological Resources Protection Act, and the Clean Water Act (404 Permit), among others.
CEQA and NEPA Documentation
Provide comprehensive management of the CEQA and NEPA processes for various project types throughout California. Staff works closely with project proponents, the design team, and lead agency staff to identify environmental constraints early in project design to assist in the avoidance and minimization of impacts to resources where feasible. In addition, our team is experienced in the preparation and processing of design review applications and other supporting city planning documentation including General Plan Amendments, Specific Plan Amendments, and Conditional Use Permits as needed for each of our projects.
Biological Services
Biologists prepare and peer review biological technical studies and reports, including CEQA/NEPA supporting documents, conduct species surveys and field investigations, design and implement mitigation, and provide construction management services including nesting bird surveys and management of regulatory permitting requirements. Biologists have been approved as qualified monitors by the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service and California Department of Fish & Wildlife.
Regulatory Services
Specializing in preparing and processing permits with the State and Federal government for impacts to "waters of the U.S. and State," including wetlands and endangered species. These activities include permits, surveys, and mitigation banking.
